What is MLS listing and impact for REN in Malaysia.

MLS stands for Multiple Listing Service, and it is relatively a new concept of real estate listing in Malaysia. 

The concept of MLS is that a Real Estate Agent (REN) can automatically see other REN's listing as long as the listing is in the same company and tagged under MLS. The listing will appear automatically in the REN personal website. 

The MLS was first created in the United States in the late 1800s. The realtors would gather in the office in their local neighborhood and then share information of the listings that they are trying to sell. The idea was developed and then improved until it can be automated using latest technology as per today. 

The reason why MLS is such a breakthrough for REN is because it fosters better cooperation among RENs, and this could assist REN to sell properties more efficiently. There are thousands of registered REN in Malaysia and would it easier if you could check your fellow REN has the same listing at your neighborhood by just clicking one button in your personal website?

MLS listing is a new concept in Malaysia and currently I believe only KW Malaysia (formerly known as Reapfield), is using this system. 

Even though it is a bit sophisticated to use for non-technology savvy REN, but it can be taught and learnt. 

I believe this is the direction for real estate industry in Malaysia, as technology and automation has dominated all sector of life and real estate is definitely one of them.
